Suggested Diet For 6 months to 2 years old babies

When my baby became around 6 months old, it was time to feed other things apart from only milk.
What we want our baby should be given a diet full of protein and vitamins and also it should take less time to prepare as we are busy in many other daily routine house work.

Here i am sharing few recipes which i learned from my mom as well as from my friends and neighbors.

1)  Take saabudanatapioca )  , grind it , make as powder. If want can add badam  ( almond ) also.
Store the powder in a container.
Can give one spoon this powder, add sugar (do not forget to add a pinch of salt as its needed for strong  bones ),  add milk. Boil it for 3 min. Make it cold.
Its ready for your baby.

One more thing:  Saabudana is very good if your baby is passing loose motion. We can add salt and     bhuna jeera ( dry fried cumin powder ) also instead of sugar . add water instead of milk. This will help him.

2)  Take sooji, fry it in a pan with ghee. Fry till it becomes brown. Add badam ( olmond ) powder it it and store in a container.
One spoon of this powder with milk , add sugar (do not forget to add a pinch of salt as its needed for  strong  bones ) . Boil it and make it cold.
 Ready for your baby.

3) You can refer my home made cerelac  recipe . You can store in container for 1 month and while preparing , can add sugar or salt according to your baby's taste.

4) Britannia Marry Gold Biscuit  , its made of Wheat Flour which is very healthy. Take 4 biscuit, boil it in milk. You will see its size has become just double of original. Add sugar and a pinch of salt. Make it cool and its ready to feed your baby. My son like it most.

5) Some time if i do not have time, i just take milk and add parlay G biscuits . It mixes  in milk within a minute. No need to add sugar also .

Disclaimer: This is just a suggestion. Consult your doctor before giving to your baby.

HOME MADE CERELAC FOR BABY

Being a new mom, I was very concerned about my baby care. One of those was my baby's diet. I was giving s00ji (semolina) boiled in milk to my son. But it was not enough actually.

One day my maid came with her grand daughter. She was only 10 days elder than my son. Seeing her I asked what was her diet.

She told me the recipe that I liked because it contained protein, vitamins.

Ingredients:
Sooji (Semolina)
Steamed rice
Wheat flour
Toor daal (Pigeon peas split)
Whole moong (Green gram whole)
Broken moong (Green gram split)
Yellow moong
Almonds
Raagi
Masoor dal (pink lentil)

METHOD:
First wash all beans and pulses then make them dry.
Fry them in a pan with small amount of ghee. Fry it till it becomes a bit brown.
Make it cool and grind it all.
Seperately fry wheat flour, and semolina also on low flame.
Mix all ingredients. Fill in a container.

Whenever use, take two spoon of this cerelac powder, mix in milk, add sugar. Also we can add small amount salt with sugar as its good for babies bones. Boil it and its ready to feed your baby.

Kitchen Storage for Breakables:

Now it was very difficult to manage in kitchen without furniture. For steel and unbreakable utensils i could manage any how, but what about the crockery and glass made items. And one more thing , my kitchen is attached with my living room, so had to go for something which doesn't look bad in front of outsiders. I did the same thing as i did in my bedroom wardrobeI purchased paper laminated wooden board wardrobe. It is (3*6 )feet two door wardrobe. having total 6 selves.above three shelves are covered with transparent door, and below three are nontransparent drawers . This is not Indian wood, but is imported material (Shopkeeper said it is imported from Malaysia) .

Instead of polish, a board is laminated actually.
So have not to touch with watery hands.

Its cost is also very less , it is only Rs 4000, and it looks very decent.if you are living in Bangalore, can go to shivaji nagar. There you will get lot of variety, and also can customize  easily. Its shelves are adjustable up and downwards.

Paper laminated wooden Board less priced wardrobe

We Recently shifted to our new home on 13th Dec 2013. It was a newly constructed house but as we noticed lot of water leakage marks on walls so we decided not to go for furniture work for some time .

Now time to face the house management without a single wardrobe. and specially in kitchen. What we did...at-least some storage was needed but expecting wooden furniture in next 6 months , spending money on branded durable expensive storage was nothing but waste of money only.

So we decided to purchase paper laminated wooden board wardrobe. It was less priced, and we given life time of 3 years.and look wise it was good only. and you wont believe its price was only 7000 Rs for three door wardrobe.

Really i loved this because i was not expecting this size (4*6)feet in only 7000 Rs.So if you are also searching for temporary storage , do not waste money.
